    Race & venue details

501(c)(3) nonprofit checkout — NC United emails your charitable acknowledgement (IRC-aligned) after payment; ask your tax advisor whether your gift may be deducted.

    How it works

Most supporters complete this in under 60 seconds.

    • Race (Training Fund tagging for a wrestler at checkout when you choose one) or Donate (Training Fund notation for a wrestler or the NC United Training Fund pool) — short steps, then Stripe.
    • Wrestler name on checkout — search the directory. Racing — we need an email (parent is fine) for Spartan to send race codes. Your gift is the charitable contribution to NC United Wrestling (Training Fund-supported program costs) flowing through nonprofit checkout—not the Spartan.com retail checkout.
    • Gifts go to training, travel, and competition — 501(c)(3).

    That's it.

You do not need to run a race to support an athlete.

    Checkout

Pick Race or Donate, then follow the steps. Payer = receipt name; next steps name the wrestler or the NC United Training Fund. Stripe at the end.

Only racers need a Spartan registration code. Sponsors and training-fund gifts don’t — codes arrive by email after we send names to Spartan.

    Same mud. Same grit.

    The mission

Strength in unityBuilt by Wrestling. Proven by Spartans.

NC United is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit developing North Carolina's top high school wrestlers. Every dollar raised sends athletes to elite summer competitions and training.

    NC United

“I've crossed Spartan finish lines with family and friends — mud, obstacles, exhaustion, and laughter all in the same hour.

    That's why this matters.

To the NC wrestling community — everyone wins.

A great race, with great people, and every step helps fund spring and summer training and competition for our athletes.”

    — Matt Hickey, founder, NC United Wrestling

“When Spartan backs NC United, they're backing North Carolina wrestlers and the training it takes to compete at the highest level — travel, camps, and opportunity for kids who earn it every day in the room. That support lifts our whole state.”

    — Michael Macchiavello, co-founder, NC United Wrestling

    Common questions

One topic at a time — the checkout form is still where you pay.

    • How does a gift show for the right wrestler?

At checkout, search and tap the wrestler — your charitable gift stays with NC United Wrestling for the NC United Training Fund noted in connection with them. Who pays by card isn't always the same person cheering from the sidelines; that payer name drives the emailed acknowledgement.

    • Is there a minimum gift? Can I enter any amount?

$5 minimum everywhere. After that, any dollar amount — race suggestions in the dropdown are guidelines, not requirements.

    • What if I’m paying for two wrestlers?

One athlete per checkout. Finish payment, then start again. Same parent name and email are fine.

    • Can I sign up for any race distance and still align to an athlete?

Yes. Pick any distance from the menu at checkout, then search and select the wrestler to document on your Training Fund gift. You can also sponsor or donate without racing — sponsoring (Training Fund notation for one wrestler) or donating to the NC United Training Fund pool.

    • Are gifts charitable / deductible?

Gifts complete as charitable contributions to NC United Wrestling — you'll receive an IRC-style acknowledgment email. Whether you may deduct on your taxes depends on your situation (AGI floors, filing status, QCD rules, etc.) — confirm with your tax advisor.

    • What can money be used for?

Training and competition costs: tournaments, travel, camps, membership, and similar wrestling expenses.

    Sharing the page

Athletes: text family, teammates, and coaches with your link and ask them to search your name at checkout. Short and personal beats a long post.
